I love my sister!

My sister, Rhonda, is my idol. All my life I have looked up to her. She was 17 years old when I was born. So, pretty much my entire life I've walked in her footsteps trying to be like her. It will never happen because, well, I'm just not THAT good.

The one talent of Rhonda's that I would give the world for is her quilting talent. I think I'm catching on. I just need to give it a little more practice.

This quilt is hanging in my sewing room (as mentioned in an earlier post). Rhonda gave it to me years ago. At the time, I didn't realize what a sacrifice it is to put so much time and work into a quilt and then give it away. Thank you sister. I love you.

Oh my, thank you for the accolades.
From the looks of your projects, you are well on you way to surpassing my skills. I like the quilts you have made.
Quilting just gets into your blood!!! And fabric collecting......what can I say?!!
I could spend many an hour looking at fabric collections on the internet and dreaming of what to do with it.
But, alas, there is a downside to this 'adiction'......life happens and there is not as much time as I would like to further my skills by sewing, sewing, sewing.
I think I love the piecing the most. I pieced the Harriet Beecher Stowe quilt a few years ago out of reproduction fabrics with the help of a colour-savy friend. I was sorry when I finished it because I loved making the blocks.
Anyway, I guess I have waxed eloquent for long enough!!!
Keep up the good work, sister dear.
Love,
R
